Microscope status
Goal:
- Is everything running as expected?

If needed start all programs, click the green play button in the software launcher:
Check the Microscope Launcher, Applications (bottom window), these applications should be running:
- Microscope User Interface.
- TIA.
- FluCam Viewer.
- Remote DM monitor.
- FeiBBox.exe (Tem).
- FEI-SEMserver, needed for SerialEM, check with alt-tab if it
runs, if not start it from the shortcuts lower left called
FEI-SEMserver.exe - shortcut. When running you should see this:
- Gatan Remote should be running in bottom right bar, otherwise start it by shortcut.
- Remote DM should be connected (green).
Vacuum

All vacuum values should display green.
- Column valves should be yellow (closed).
- Both Octagon and Liner vacuum should be below 20 Log.
Autoloader
Autoloader should be initialized, options flapout, initialize should be yellow.
Temperatures
- Temperature Control Status should be "All Nitrogen Temperature".
- All temperatures should be green.
- Keep in mind the de-vitrification temperature(s...) :
- Glaeser/Taylor 143K -130°C
- Dubochet 138K -135°C
- Hong Zhou 123K -150°C
HT and FEG
We always use 300 KV, gun lens 2, extraction voltage 4150.
DO NOT CHANGE THESE SETTINGS!!!!!
Gatan pc

These programs should be running on the Gatan pc, if not, open in this order:
- Digital Micrograph.
- SerialEM.

If Digital Micrograph shows the camera heating/annealing dialog, cancel it.
Check Digital Micrograph/Camera Monitor:
- Camera should be at -20 degrees Celsius to be used.
- Camera Health Status should be green.
After Digital Micrograph and SerialEM run on the Gatan PC, start TIA on the microcope PC, otherwise shuttering will not work!
