Switch off Titan Krios

You need to find a couple of things:

Never close the Gatan rack, this will overheat the equipment!!!

Close SerialEM on Gatan pc.
Close SerialEM server on Titan pc.
Close Digital Micrograph on Gatan pc, wait for "save filter alignment message": click yes.

Shut down Gatan pc.

Switch off Gatan Digitizer (blue box in the back of the room).

Switch off Gatan pre-processor.
Switch off Gatan GIB.

Switch off Gatan Peltier cooler.

Close all on Titan pc: right-click on the stop button on the right, choose "stop all".
Wait until all applications are stopped (all white in applications window).

Shut down Titan pc.

Switch of 60 VDC supply in the Power rack.

Switch off power cabinet: switch all red marked switches off, leave IGP supplies on!!!

If needed, also switch off the water chiller in the small service room, blue button on the left.

Switch on Titan Krios

Switch on all flip switches on power cabinet.

Wait 15 seconds, switch on the 60 VDC supply.

Switch the service monitor in the Krios room off!
Switch on TEM pc, open its right door, on.

Start the Tem software: click the green play button:

In Titan UI:

If needed, start the vacuum system, To 'all vacuum' so that vacuum is on.

Run FEG warm start (~30 minutes) when the instrument was off less than 24 hours, otherwise run cold start (~90 minutes).

Make sure all apertures are enabled.

Make sure the autoloader is initialized

Switch HT on and set to 300KV.
Make sure FEG is at 4150Vex and gun lens 3.
Switch the phase plate power supply on.

Gatan

If Titan Krios projection vacuum is ok:

Switch on Gatan Peltier cooler.

Switch on Gatan GIB.
Switch om Gatan pre-processor.

Switch on Gatan Digitizer.

Switch on Gatan pc: this will take a while and the monitor meanwhile will be black.

Log into Gatan pc:

$admin

Start Digital Micrograph.
Give it some time, reference images will be uploaded automatically.

Titan

On Titan pc:

Software launcher click the blue stop buttonm wait untill everything is closed, then click the green start button and wait untill everything has started:

Check if the K2 is seen by the FEI software, camera dropdown list should contain EF-CCD:

Start SerialEM server

Gatan pc

Start SerialEM on the Gatan pc.
