Online Submissions

Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.

 

Author Guidelines

Pathogens and Immunity will consider for review any original research paper that is written in any journal format that is approved by the National Library of Medicine.

Submission Requirements

  • Select a file format that will maintain styles such as superscript, subscript, and italics

  • All information and graphics should be contained in a single file

  • You will be asked to copy and paste the title, abstract and references into the submission application

  • Authors may, if they wish, provide unedited complete reviews from another named journal together with their response to these critiques that may assist in the review

If the paper is accepted for publication in Pathogens and Immunity, the authors will be asked to resubmit the work in the Pathogens and Immunity format.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF or pdf document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. All authors have agreed to the submission of this manuscript.
  5. All relevant conflicts of interests are stated in the manuscript.
